To Kristen's absolute surprise, she had a GIRL. (I still don't know how she could go 9 months w/out knowing). Sweet little Tatum Elizabeth was born last Tuesday by surprise c-section, to join her 2 little brothers to the family..Kristen, you did good, she is a love, and you look amazing by the way!!

We're needing a little of this today!! (Jim got his MRI results back and he reherniated the disc that he had surgery on last year..he was less than pleased with the result and even more depressed with the future outlook of his back)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...(just the bones of the operations, the decorations will come after Thanksgiving)

Our ward put together a girls flag football team..with only 2 practices under our belt, we battled another ward (Butterfield Stage Babes) and kicked their pink butts (21-7)!!  Winning comes at a price though-my body is sore!!!  My body just doesn't do the same things it did 20 years ago!!

What were you doing at 12:01 A.M.??  I was with what seemed to be the population of Temecula at the midnight showing of twilight! Go HERE for another take on the night. (too bad my flash didn't work very well in the dark theatre)

Someone (who will remain nameless) did not listen to his wife every time she mentioned that he might want to wear his retainer.  So, that someone had to get their bottom braces put back on.  I don't like to gloat (yes I do) but I TOLD YOU SO!!

How excited was I when I was going through my XM and found that HOLLY (the Christmas song channel) was already on the air.  What a great day!  It's never too early for Christmas music. FYI:  the $5 Christmas c.d. from Khol's is actually pretty good..I bought it yesterday. I'm a sucker for a good deal.

This was a great weekend.  Our close friends, Dan and Mari, went through the temple Friday night and then were sealed Saturday morning.  Seeing as it was a weekend event, Jim and I got a hotel room right next door to the temple (to make life easier). The mini bar proved to be a great temptation.  I had, staring at me through this little window all night the enticements of chocolate.. I don't think I'd ever seen a mini bar with a window.  Hyatt, I commend you for your efforts, but I resisted the $5.00 bag of M&M's (which weren't even king-sized!)

Among other things, squeezed in a little art time with the kids today! The turkey was a collaborative effort between Jayden and myself.

More back troubles (not as bad as last year though).  Today Jim had an EPIDURAL LUMBAR SACRAL INJECTION.  I could have used an epidural sitting in the lobby with my 3 boys for over an hour.

No school today, so I met up with Mari and her boys to go see Madagascar 2!  Did I happen to mention that we watched Kung Fu Panda about 10 times in the past 2 days, hence the noodles swords.  There was a lot of kung fu fighting going on, much to my dismay!

Tammy and Jaysen were in town from Arizona and I was able to get ahold of Kristi, so we had a little Hawaii reunion Sunday night! (The photo was taken a little after midnight, but it'll have to count for today!)

Totally easy project!! A scripture bag made from a placemat.  I was very impressed with myself.

Here's an election worth voting for!  I've been debating changing my 12x12 postbound scrapbooks to leather 12x12 3 ring binders.  10 new albums arrived today and I'm needing your help!  What do you think? Both have pros/cons..cons on the new ones, pages don't butt up together. PRO's are: pages are much more accessible and I think they look pretty good, grouped on the shelf.  Any suggestions or thoughts?

Day 310

Long story short:  out of all the candy the boys got from trick-or-treating, there was only 1 butterfinger! I went to the fridge to pour me a giant glass of milk (with ice), walked back to the mounds of candy only to find an empty wrapper and Jim's mouth full!  I was a little upset.  In passing I shared this story with my neighbor.  Yesterday I got a call from my sweet neighbor telling me she had a surprise for me and to go to the back fence!  She bequeathed to me, 2 most delicious and long awaited butterfingers!  After eating the 2, I realized it wouldn't suffice the craving-so off to the store I went to buy an entire bag of fun size bars (of which there are only 3 left..thanks jim!)

Day 308

Did a little research on our tortoise..learned a few interesting things. First, after having this pet 2 years I just learned that it is not a greek tortoise, rather a russian!  Opps #1. (It has survived despite being treated as if it were a greek..very adaptable).  Second, this type of tortoise should be bathed 2-4 times a week. Opps #2! We're just about 104 weeks off!  So this is DYGGERS 1st bath..I think he liked it. Wouldn't you after walking around in your feces for 2 years!  We'll be better pet parents from now on!  And kids, this is why we don't have a DOG!

Day 307

Upon breaking our fast, this is the first thing we hit!!  My philosophy is:  the quicker I eat it all, the sooner it will be gone and out of my house.  (It would be a shame to throw any of it away!)

Day 306

Our neighborhood had a huge block party!  Tons of food, a bounce house for the kids, games, and prizes.  Jayden was in tears before he even started.  No one forced him to do this.  He was crying even as he waited in line.  Why he put himself through this, I will never know!
