Jayden's class has been reading "Where the Wild Things Are" and he had a homework assignment to create a monster creation for their WILD RUMPUS this Thursday.  Luckily I had bookmarked the most incredible site for such projects!   HERE is where I got my inspiration!

Day 301

Yesterday for FHE we had the awesome opportunity to gather together as a stake and line various streets in Temecula to rally in support for PROP. 8!!  It was an emotional site seeing everyone ban together to fight for something they believe in.  What an incredible learning experience it was for our boys!  They felt so proud to be out there!  I felt so proud!  I love AMERICA and the freedom we had to express our beliefs right there on the street!  Our boys asked if we could do this again!  I totally think we should.

Day 300

I love this wall mural we just put up in the playroom..Now when the boys play video games, I don't feel like it's a complete waste of time..they "could" be subconsciously learning something with this giant WORLD map in their background.

We had our family pictures taken by Melanie down at the beach in La Jolla. We only had a 20 minute session so I decided, since the boys were dressed and we were down there, I'd bring my camera and catch a few individuals on my own.  Do I not have the most handsome set of boys in my family or what!!!!

Today for our play date we made pretzel hugs!!  The boys loved being my little helpers, even though they ate more of the candy then baked with it.

Jim had to go to Newport overnight for meetings so this is what we did for our "business dinner".

Round 2 & 3 at the dentist.  I think Dr. Chang has had enough of the Geddies'!  No offense, but we've had enough of that office for awhile.

I could have posted a cute picture of our family at the Pumpkin Patch for FHE, but no, this one better encapsulates my day.  Ryder had to have a filling and they used "laughing gas" to calm him down.  It was totally misleading..there was no LAUGHING going on in that room.  Once the drilling began I had to basically lay on him to vise him down.  I paid the extra $100 for the "gas"to give me peace of mind that he would laugh all the way through the process, or at the very least, be totally relaxed. Note to self:  laughing gas doesn't work on someone as stubborn as Ryder! [I didn't get my first filling till after I had my first child!  He must get it from his father!]

SATURDAY = SOCCER!!  Jayden was so excited to score a goal while G'ma & G'pa were there!! Skyler's game was in Rancho Santa Fe so it was a long day of soccer.

Grandma & Grandpa Geddie came for a visit..we had no school on Friday, so where else would you go when it's 95 degree's outside?   Well of course silly, The San Diego Wild Animal Park!! We had to keep it authentically AFRICA/SAFARI!

Girl's Night Out..actually, this was a good-bye (or as Theresa put it, merely a see you later) for Jenniffer, my friend, who is moving to RENO, nevada.  Temecula will just not be the same without her here!!  Jenn, you will truly be missed!!

My mom had Ryder Sunday night so we could go to the Galaxy game, then, when she brought him home on Monday, I got a couple of sewing hours out of her!!  Thanks mom for whipping my fabric into a nice window topper in record speed.  I think it helps tone down the walls. (i think a nice roman shade rather than these blinds would help too..that's later!)

Went to the L.A. Galaxy Soccer game tonight..Skyler's team was invited to walk across the field in the Parade of Champions (for winning a tournament).  The boys were thrilled and the game was great.  Galaxy won Colorado 3-2.  [sidenote:  Jayden was freezing, hence the funny face!]

Jim came home with another random Halloween decoration.  The thing is, he doesn't have to be at home all day with 3 boys who love to push the button and make it sing for hours upon hours..it's about to find itself a new home, in my garbage can! {By the way, went to a church conference talking about  Prop. 8 tonight!  If anyone is reading this and doesn't know what it's about, please see the widget and remember to VOTE!!}  (preferably YES on 8)

One of my phone calls home this weekend, Jim informed me that he had seen a mouse run across the floor.  He set up traps on Saturday and caught one.  So Sunday night, when I got home, the boys thought it would be "HILLARIOUS" to take this giant rat from the Halloween box and put it in the fridge to scare me.  Mission Accomplished!

Last minute picture for the day..this is the cute store we spent the bulk of our weekend at.  I got 36 pages done!  Now I'm only 4 months behind!

This was the only group shot of the entire weekend..a few factors make it a not-so-good shot: 1.)the fact that we balanced the camera on a stack of towels 2.)We just ate plates of fried goodness 3.) It's 2:00 a.m. Besides the unflattering picture, the spa just topped off a great day & night with friends.
