Day 166

First day of summer!  Ryder started swim lessons this morning, we signed up for summer reading at the library, went out for doughnuts, and picked up a couple of friends for the day...all before 10:30!

So what do you do on a girls' weekend?  LOUNGE, EAT, and READ! We are so informed and updated on the current state of celebrity affairs! {this is what I mean by reading}

a trips' not a trip without the xshot! (no june gloom in catalina)

 After Skyler's soccer tournament, Jim took the boys to an Angels game! (and even allowed someone to take a picture) What a great dad!

Day 163

Last day of school...last flag salute...Skyler was called up for being on honor roll.  Best part about that:  he got a coupon for a FREE haircut {exactly what he needs!}

This is Skyler's breakfast just about every morning!  He'd eat it for lunch and dinner too if I let him!

Had a scout committee meeting tonight and these were the treats!

All ready for summer learning!  Every year I buy these books and every year I hear, "but mom, it's summer..we're suppose to be on vacation from school."  pplllleeeeaaassssee..you're life is a vacation!

This was the busiest day ever!!  I was at the kids school from 9:30-2:00, then rushed to pick up Ryder from a friends house and get to a primary activity that I had to run a station at, then hurried home to get the kids changed for Skyler's piano recital!  Why must everything be squeezed into the last few days of school?

Day 155

This was my first time, in my over 5 years of classroom volunteering that I made it to the "thank-you" breakfast!  It was very sweet and a better breakfast than I would have normally eaten.

I looked out my window and what did I see, a freakish June thunder, lighting, and hail storm coming down on me!! {actually it was quite exciting and who doesn't love the smell of fresh rain when it's warm outside!}

Dygger, our gender confused turtle, is enjoying some new freedom in the backyard!
