Day 31

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEARS'!
(in case you can't make out exactly what
it is, it's a FIRECRACKER..
it's for Skyler's Blue & Gold cub scout
dinner..his contribution = telling me
what he wanted.  Then I had to figure
out how in the heck to make a firecracker
cake..)

Day 30

Our monthly recipe exchange...thanks girls for
another wonderful meal!!

Day 29

Ironically, I ate this bowl of heaven while watching
"The BIGGEST Loser"..sadly, my appetite is
coming back.  As was said in "The Devil Wears
Prada", "I'm 1 flu bug away from my goal weight!!"

Day 28

No..I didn't take this picture, but I wanted
to dedicate this day to our dear PROPHET
who will be deeply missed.  Can you even
imagine the homecoming that took place
last night??  It kinda makes this sad
occasion seem joyful!!

Day 27

As I sit down to do my calendaring for the week,
I am more intrigued at planning my next
vacation, especially considering the week we've
all had!!  (where ever will we go...jim votes BRAZIL, my vote is for
somewhere warm and tropical - besides Hawaii, we're already going there in
May..maybe somewhere in the Caribbean this time around??? but then again,
when I win the dream home which is in Florida, we'll be down there a lot..decisions,
they're the worst!) For anyone who loves adventure and travel, I highly recommend
"1000 place to see before you die" the book!  We based a lot of our Italy trip from
their suggestions!

For the past 4 years, everyday from Jan. 1st.
until Feb. 19th, I have entered the HGTV dream
home giveaway.  one can always dream...(this year
is the first year i missed a day.  CHECK OUT THE DREADS...they're actually
worse than they look here.  That's what a week in bed will do to you!)

Day 25

This is one week I'd rather just forget about!!
Next year I will sooooo get
FLU SHOT!!(that is if I'm alive then)
 i need a vacation J

Day 24

...let me finish from day 23:  jayden=thursday!
"Share and share alike"!  Not really the lesson
on sharing i wanted to instill.  Seriously...i feel
like we're going to be sick the rest of our lives!
(I've taken so many medications that I'm entitled to my little, short-lived pitty
party!) I was really hoping by this point that either Jim or I would be feeling
a tiny bit better, NOPE!!

Day 23

does this project count if i don't officially take
the picture?  i was in no condition..dr's told me
i've got a bad case of the flu and put me on
TAMI-FLU (I hate medicine and I really am skeptical if it did anything
but make me throw-up).  Sadly, we're pecking off our family
one at a time..jim=mon. , dy=tues, ryder=weds.
i just felt awful that i couldn't take care of my
family, but again am so grateful for my mom's
willingness to help!

Day 22

You know you're in a dire situation when you
wake-up and can't move and feel like you're
going to DIE!!  Jim was sick, now I was sick!
What do you do?? You call your mom!  You're
never to old to need your "mommy" when
you're sick. (Thanks mom for staying 3 days in this infirmary..taking
us both to urgent care, and taking such good care of the boys and the house!)

Monday, January 21, 2008

Day 21

it is a rare thing when jim gets sick, even more
rare when he stays home from work.  (with the kids
home from school today, i don't know how much rest he got).

Sunday, January 20, 2008

Thursday, January 10, 2008

Day 10

I gave myself the gift of time today... 2 1/2
hours I sat in the library and wrote, with good
old fashioned pen and paper, in my journal.
A VERY GOOD DAY!!

Wednesday, January 9, 2008

Day 9

..boys and their bowels!  jayden can
give any grown -up a run for their
money.

Day 8

"take a picture of me mommy!" (my only child who loves
the camera.)

Monday, January 7, 2008

Cook once...eat all week long!  I love my dinner

BBQ chicken pizza, chicken tacos, and potato cheese
soup & pumpkin muffins.

Day 6

I just had to laugh at "Skyter"..and I ordered the
cake.  Is my writing that illegible?

NEMO! (disneyland)

Saturday, January 5, 2008

Days 3,4,5

I have not already slacked on this challenge. The pictures have been taken, but I got a new computer for Christmas and it's currently at the APPLE store with my old one having all the data transfered. So I'm doing the best I can with Jim's laptop which I don't even want to deal
with learning how to do pictures on. For anyone who cares...I should have my computer back by Tuesday at the latest.. Keep Snapping
