236: bonjour cannes, france & monacco/monte carlo

Day 4 Land of Opulence: Cannes, France
and
Monte Carlo, Monaco

 I laugh at this picture because I just noticed the little fiat police car in the background! Good luck trying to catch one of these speedsters. I'm kinda thinking, the ones with all the money rule the country anyways.

 I think the state car of Monaco is a Ferrari! I never knew there were so many different models. They are as common as Honda Civics are here in the US.  This would be Jayden's heaven..these pictures were for him, my lover of fast cars!
 Monaco was an 1 1/2 hour train ride from Cannes. We were stressed we'd run out of time, but we saw it all and got back to the ship with time to spare.
 Our ship:  The Serenade of the Seas

 Bond, James Bond! The Monte Carlo Grand Casino {Casino Royale}. We didn't go inside, as it didn't open till 2:00 p.m. and men had to wear a sports jacket, of which, Jim did not have!

Cute little old French man, taking a Saturday stroll down the streets on his bike, in his beret.

One of many super yachts in the harbor. Unless you had an extra $100,000, you weren't going to do much shopping here. Strictly window shopping. It is hard to even wrap my brain around the type of money that is oozing out of this little country {next to the Vatican, this was the 2nd smallest country we visited}.
I will tell you, Monaco is the cleanest country I have ever seen.  I didn't see a single piece of litter on the ground and their train station was the cleanest station I have ever seen. One could wager that you could eat your food off the ground.  You wouldn't, but I'm just saying it was probably that clean!

 I'm telling you..the cleanest train station ever sans any graffiti!
 Last minute foot picture..meant to do it in front of a Ferrari or by the casino, but forgot!
 Basking in the beautiful ocean waters of the Mediterranean..French Riveria
{This street performer was a little disturbing..he had taped sounds of children giggling and cooing coming from his stroller!}
